Mariah Carey unretouched photos show the power of Photoshop

Jezebelhas the “before” pictures from Mariah Carey‘s Wonderland magazine photo shoot with Terry Richardson — who’s no stranger to photo scandals.

As Jezebel astutely points out, the washed out, pre-Photoshop images make you question why people praise Richardson’s “authentic” style and aggressive camera flash, if the singer/diva’s makeup needed to be digitally added afterward.

And, of course, since Carey isn’t a size zero she’s been aggressively slimmed, thinned and smoothed.
