Radiohead, Black Keys, Snoop and Dr. Dre and a whole lot more headline Coachella 2012 lineup

Social media networks were abuzz last night with one common image, that of a sunrise in the desert, announcing the lineup of Coachella, the famed anything goes music festival in Indio, Calif.

This year is unique in that the festival will take place over two consecutive weekends, with the lineup of each day mirroring itself one week later. The Black Keys will headline on Friday April, 13 and Friday, April 20. Radiohead will headline on Saturday, April 14 and 21. Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg will headline on Sunday, April 15 and 22.

Other treats include a reunion of At The Drive-In and the continuation of tour dates by former recluse Jeff Mangum of Neutral Milk Hotel.

We spoke last week with Azealia Banks, who at the time was the first performer announced to be taking part. The 20-year-old Harlem native said she could feel the momentum of her increasing fame, but was very conscious to keep it in perspective.

“People are starting to recognize me, but it’s not quite surreal yet,” she said. “I don’t feel like I’ve had that moment where thousands of people are screaming back at me.”

That moment is all but guaranteed with the announcement of her Coachella performance.

“It’s about to get crazy,” she laughed nervously. “When I saw that I was the first artist announced, I was kind of like, ‘Woahhh!’”

If you haven’t seen it already, this is the much-buzzed about JPEG with all of the details.
