Rami Malek, star of the hit show "Mr. Robot," appeared shocked as he accepted his Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama. Up against fellow actors Liev Schreiber, Bob Odenkirk, Kevin Spacey, Kyle Chandler and Matthew Rhys, this was Malek's first Emmy Award ever and while his fans are certainly not shocked that he won, he certainly seemed to be.
Malek opened up his acceptance speech by cracking a "Mr.Robot"-themed joke: "Please tell me you’re seeing this too."
He went on to praise the show's creator, Sam Esmail, for being a "pure visionary," and also praised his castmates for being "absurdly gifted."
Lastly, Malek honored his character Elliot, who is "profoundly alienated" and noted that there's a bit of him in all of us.
