The first trailer for Peter Jackson’s finale installment of the “Hobbit” movies has premiered. A few familiar faces appear — keep an eye out for Orlando Bloom as Legolas, a sad-looking Cate Blanchett, and of course series stars Martin Freeman and Ian McKellen. One more familiar face? Or rather, familiar … face part? It’s your old pal the Eye of Sauron, glaring away as usual!
The movie comes out December 17, so there will undoubtedly be more chances to see Martin Freeman looking freaked out in trailers. The first “Lord of the Rings” movie came out 13 years ago almost to the day as this final one. Unless someone uncovers some secret sequels, the whole saga is finally coming to a close. What will Peter Jackson do next?
