“Fifty Shades Darker” is coming — there’s nothing you or I or Dakota Johnson can do to stop it. However, the coming sequel in EL James’ co-dependency saga has a silver lining: Taylor Swift gets one last breathy drag of Harry Styles-flavored drama. T. Swift and Zayn Malik revealed their “darker” soundtrack tune called “I Don’t Want to Live Forever” last night, because nothing says psychologically combustible romance like recording a sexy song with your buddy’s beau. The track was written by Swift, Sam Dew (who’s penned for Rihanna, Mary J Blige and Estelle) and Jack Antonoff of Fun/Bleachers/Lena Dunham fame. Malik (or as he’s now called ZAYN) is the BF of Gigi Hadid, a known member of Swift’s squad — but also, just FYI, a former One Direction member alongside SwiftX, Harry Styles. While there’s no sign of an upcoming album from Swift — whose been notably quiet since Kim Kardashian obsessively/maniacally/casually blew up her spot on Snapchat regarding the controversial Kanye West “Famous” phone call — this follows other singular moments of new Swift-penned music this year, including Little Big Town’s “Better Man” and Calvin Harris’s “This is What You Came For.” Check out a sample of the track below and find the whole she-bang on iTunes.
