You know what's more annoying than the girl in the seat next to you at the movies who spends half the movie lighting up your aisle with her constantly-buzzing cell phone while she types frantically and giggles to herself over the super f—cking adorable emoticons her boyfriend is presumably sending her every third minute? Nothing.
Even those people who yell at the screen ("girl, he's right behind you! He's got an axe! RUN!! I SAID RUN!!!") as if they were guests of honor at an interactive live theater production are somehow not as irksome as the Movie Theater Texter, who really should just wait until movies come out on DVD if she really can't wait one freaking hour to respond to a text that probably contains super important information along the lines of "wazzup bb? :P"
The Spectacular Now co-stars Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller agree. They recorded this PSA for Texas-based movie theater chain Alamo Drafthouse saying as much. Don't text, don't do it. It ruins lives. Don't do it, or they will find you. And ruin you. That means you, specifically, KEVIN.
