I’m walking across 33rd Street headed to 3.1 Phillip Lim when about 12 photographers rush over, rapid lens clicking away. Am I walking in front of Miley Cyrus or something? “Leandra, Leandra Leandra! Look this way,” a photographer yells to Leandra Medine of the Man Repeller. She’s having a good show season, eh?

This collection is filled with pieces that have “fashion blogger” written all over them. I’m not sure how any designers would admit to it, but it looks fairly obvious to me that the street style stars have impacted the direction of fashion. Just like the music world has become more about the single than the album, fashion collections are now defined by a handful of standout pieces that have the power to go viral. The looks offering that obligatory “wow” factor here include a clever lilac fur jacket (what makes it so cool is that it’s in the traditional denim jacket shape) styled with a caramel-colored flaired leather skirt and an equally covetable graphic, color-blocked coat in leather and fur.
