A 15-year-old New Hampshire girl who disappeared last fall was safely reunited with her family Sunday night, authorities said.

Abigail Hernandez was safely reunited with her family Sunday evening, the New Hampshire attorney general’s office said on Monday. Authorities released no details about how she was reunited with her family or where she had been.

“The facts and circumstances surrounding Abigail’s disappearance continue to be actively investigated by members of [law enforcement agencies],” the New Hampshire attorney general’s office said ina statement.

While the reason for the disappearance remains a mystery, Hernandez’s family is happy, law enforcement said.

“Today we are the happiest people on earth,” Hernandez’s mother, Zenya, said in a statement from the attorney general’s office.

Hernandez went missing in October and was last seen in Conway, N.H. near Kennett High School. Authorities had been looking for her since then. In December it was reported that she wrote her mother a letter, which was dated about two weeks after she was last seen.

Her family had also turned to social media to help in the search and posted messages hoping for her safe return.
