The man who allegedly made off with $2 after pushing a woman to the ground during a robbery was ordered held on $50,000 bail at his arraignment Thursday.

Raymond Castillo, 34, of Roslindale, was charged with armed robbery due to a Jan. 6 incident at the Haymarket MBTA station in which he allegedly threatened a 37-year-old woman as she walked through an underpass leading to an Orange Line platform.

Prosecutors said Castillo told the victim he had a gun and demanded money. When the victim refused, Castillos allegedly knocked her down, got on top of her, and went through her pockets.

The attack was caught on video and released to the public, which eventually led to Castillo’s arrest. A check of Castillo’s Facebook page helped confirm that he was the same person captured in the images, prosecutors said.

Additionally, witnesses who knew Castillos positively identified him as the man seen in surveillance images.
