A suspect in a domestic disturbance call bit an officer so severely he had to be transported to MGH.

Boston Police officers responding to a domestic disturbance call in East Boston on Wednesday were repeatedly bitten by a suspect.
When police arrived at the home on Faywood Avenue in East Boston, a woman came to the door, followed by a man with a knife. As police drew their firearms, the suspect began waving the knife at the officers.
According to the Boston Police Department, the victim then intervened and said everything was fine. The suspect then dropped the knife.
When officers and the suspect proceeded to exit the home, the suspect became unruly and began verbally abusing the officers. He said even though he no longer had a knife, he would still harm anyone who tried to arrest him. That’s when the suspect repeatedly bit and kicked the officers, and was even able to gain control of an officer’s gun.
Police subdued the suspect and took him into custody, but not without a few injuries.One of the arresting officers had to be taken to Massachusetts General Hospital to receive treatment for bite wounds to his leg and both hands.
After the suspect was taken into custody, the victim told the police that the suspect should not have been arrested because he was innocent, and the whole incident had been a misunderstanding.
The 23-year-old male was arrestedcharged with assault with a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer.
