Co-op City refutes Beck claims

You can’t get the Bronx down. After TV commentator Glenn Beck compared Co-Op City to the USSR on his Tuesday night show, residents defended their borough. Bronx Borough President Reuben Diaz Jr. invited Beck to visit the nabe before “he runs his uniformed mouth in the future.”

“For all I know he wants to live there and can’t get through the list and he’s complaining about it,”?joked Mayor Bloomberg.
