Copley Place store burglarized

Police are searching for two men who apparently have an eye for fashion and winter clothes.

Officers responded to the Neiman Marcus store about 6:30 a.m. today for a report of a breaking and entering in progress.

The double glass doors of the store’s entrance were smashed and officers found three jacket hangers on the sidewalk in front of the building.

Witnesses told them that they saw two men break into the front door of the store on the Dartmouth Street side. The men then fled the store and left in a black sedan traveling on Dartmouth Street toward Columbus Avenue.

Store security also told police that they saw two men milling about the front door just before the break in.

Witnesses said the men were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.

Store personnel was unable to determine the extent or amount of merchandise stolen, police said.
