Police are searching for a man who committed a robbery inside a Subway restaurant in the Wakefield neighborhood in the Bronx on Saturday.
The suspect entered the sandwich store located at 980 E. 233 St. at around 7:30 p.m., police said. He displayed a firearm and demanded money from a 15-year-old female victim. The girl complied and the man fled with the money. It is not clear whether the victim was an employee or a customer.
The robber is being described as a black male between 5 foot 9 inches and 5 foot 10 inches tall. He had a band-aid under his left eye and was last seen wearing red-hooded sweatshirt and a Yankee cap.
