Cops seek men in Brookline Gap theft

Brookline police are asking for the public’s help to identify two men who are wanted for allegedly trying to conduct a very low-tech crime.

The men went to the Gap in Brookline March 21 and were caught on surveillance video.

One man acted as a lookout while the other filled a garbage bag full of clothes.

The store’s loss prevention team spotted the men and when they confronted the men, the duo dropped the bag and fled.

Police described the suspects as white men in their 40s. Both were wearing baseball hats, black North Face jackets and jeans.

Anyone with information should call 617-730-2712.
