Seven people from the South Shore were charged in federal court today for their alleged roles in an Oxycodone trafficking ring.
Steven Dunn, 47, Robert Henriques, 55, Jodi Kilday, 46, Adam Roberts, 29, all of Brockton; Gail Fitzgibbons, 30, Gennaro “Jerry” Dellatorre, 35, both of Abington; and Jose Silva, 34, of Whitman, were all charged in the drug conspiracy, federal authorities said.
Federal authorities used wiretaps to monitor communications between the members of the group for about eight months.
Dunn is accused of buying wholesale quantities of the pills from Roberts, Kilday and others and then distributing them to “street level” customers through Henriques, authorities said.
Silva was arrested last month when he was returning from New York with more than 1,700 pills.
“These arrests demonstrate the commitment of DEA and our law enforcement partners in targeting and bringing to justice those responsible for illegally supplying and distributing Oxycodone in our neighborhoods,” said DEA Special Agent in Charge John Arvanitis.
If convicted, those arrested could face up to 20 years in jail.
“I want to acknowledge the unprecedented cooperation in this investigation between federal, state and local authorities, which reached from Southeastern Massachusetts to New York to Florida,” said US Attorney for the District of Massachusetts Carmen Ortiz.
