Fetus found in trash in Washington Heights

A man hunting for recyclables instead found a dead fetus in the trash Tuesday in Washington Heights.

Cops said the fetus was about 24 weeks old and wrapped in plastic inside a bucket. The grisly discovery happened behind a building on West 191st Street, where the son of the building’s super told the Daily News that residents would need a key to get into the garbage area.

The NYPD is waiting on an autopsy from the medical examiner.
