Beer-drinking hipsters rejoice!
Narragansett Beer announced today that it is re-releasing its brew in retro cans to coincide with Discovery Channel’s Shark Week.
The retro design was featured in the classic movie “Jaws.” In the 1975 movie, Captain Sam Quint crushes a can to intimidate a shark hunting researcher played by Richard Dreyfuss.
The local company produces beer at breweries in Buzzards Bay, Providence, R.I. and Rochester, N.Y.
All 12-, 18-, and 30-packs of 12 ounce beer cans will feature the retro design for a limited time.
Shark Week on Discovery began this week.
