A teenage girl in Framingham told police she was sexually assaulted at knifepoint Wednesday after getting off the school bus.

Police say the alleged attack happened around 2:50 p.m. Wednesday on Gorman Road.

The 15-year-old Keefe Regional Technical School student told officers a knife-wielding stranger approached her near the bus stop and forced her into the woods, where she was assaulted.

She returned home after the attack, where her mother called police. The victim was then taken to the hospital.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male in his late teens or early 20s. He was wearing a long-sleeved black shirt, jeans and muddy sneakers.

Massachusetts State Police assisted Framingham Police in the search Wednesday afternoon, using tracking dogs and helicopters, but were unable to find the suspect.

Framingham Police are asking anyone with information about the sexual assault to call 508-872-1212.
