MANHATTAN – An MTA employee was indicted Thursday for falsifying subway signal inspection reports.
Ilya Klyauzov, 57, was charged with tampering with public records and official misconduct. He could face up to eight years in prison.
The MTA was caught in a scandal this past winter when it was revealed that employees lied about inspecting dozens of signals and doing equipment maintenance checks.
