The NYPD is looking for two lottery scammer suspects who have taken more than $23,000 in cash and jewelry from victims in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

One of the suspects tells the victims they have a winning lottery ticket they cannot cash in because they are undocumented, police said. The second suspect then approaches, claiming to know a lawyer who can help, and convinces the victim to give them money for the lawyer and a split of the winnings.

Police have identified nine victims, all female, ranging in age from 28 to 81, who were scammed between April and August.

The incidents have occurred in Cypress Hills, the Upper West Side, East Harlem, Harlem, Washington Heights and Inwood, police said.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 50s, approximately 5-foot-3, slim build, well dressed and carrying a Bible. The second suspect is a Hispanic female in her 40s, approximately 4-foot-5 to 5-foot-3, wearing a wig.
