PA Voter Registration Deadline Looms

Those who plan to vote in the November 8 municipal election, which will decide the city’s mayor for the next four years, must register to vote by next Tuesday, Oct. 11.

Pennsylvania applicants registering for the first time, changing their address or changing their party affiliation must have their documents postmarked or delivered to their county board of elections by the end of the business day next Tuesday.

Those registering must be a U.S. citizen for at least one month before the election, a resident of Pennsylvania and of the election district at least one month before the election, and at least 18 years old on or before November 8.

Residents can apply in person at a county voter registration office, the state departments of Public Welfare or Health, PennDOT photo and driver license centers, Armed Forces recruitment centers and at a variety of licensing and special service provider officers.
