Way to go, Boston. You’re wicked literate.
A recently released survey ranks Boston among the most literate cities in the nation.
The Hub ranks No. 7 in the “America’s Most Literate Cities, 2012” survey by Central Connecticut State University.
The survey ranks the largest cities – populations above 250,000 only – and ranks them using data available in six areas including number of bookstores, education attainment, Internet resources, library resources, periodical publishing resources and newspaper circulation.
However, the news isn’t all good. Boston dropped two spots from last year’s results.
This year, Washington, D.C. ranked as the nation’s most literate city.
