Police in several communities in and around Boston believe the same man is responsible for robbing nearly a dozen Dunkin’ Donuts shops in recent weeks.

Authorities said they believe the same man is responsible for robbing 11 Dunkin’ Donuts stores, including ones in Boston, Canton, Norwood and North Attleboro.

Canton Police and Canton-based Dunkin’ Donuts are now offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to the prosecution of the suspect, Canton police said.

Ryanham police said that they are investigating whether a recent robbery of a Dunkin’ Donuts there is connected to the string of holdups.

Police there said that about 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 14, a man wearing a black mask and brandishing a black handgun entered the shop through the drive-through window, took money out of a cash register and ordered employees to get on the ground.

Canton police said that on July 24 at about 8:30 p.m., a man wearing a ski mask entered the Dunkin’ Donuts on Neponset Street, showed a handgun and robbed the employees at gunpoint. The same location was robbed a few weeks earlier in the same manner, police said.
