Teen killed near movie set of ‘Dead Man Down’

In a chilling case of life imitating art, production assistants working on crime thriller “Dead Man Down” arrived in Frankford yesterday to find a real-life murder scene

Robert Sneed, 18, of the 1800 block of Widener Place in East Germantown, was shot multiple times during an argument at Kinsey and Ditman streets shortly before 4 p.m., police said. He died at Temple University Hospital a little over an hour later.

Police reportedly have three suspects in custody, but no charges have yet been filed.

“Dead Man Down,” starring Colin Farrell and Terrance Howard, is set to film scenes today at Globe Dye Works on Worth Street near Kinsey Street, about a block away from the fatal shooting. The movie has also been filming on 16th and 17th streets near Walnut Street in Rittenhouse Square.
