The Rent Is 2 Damn what?

Jimmy McMillan, the founder of the Rent Is 2 Damn High Party, is having trouble remembering how much he pays for rent. The Vietnam vet and retired postal worker has lived in the same Brooklyn one-bedroom for the past 20 years. The candidate for governor told the New York Post his rent was frozen at $800, but told the Times he paid nothing. “We’re like family,” Mr. McMillan said of his landlords. “They don’t want me to pay any money at all. I am basically living there rent-free.”
