A Mattapan man was expected to be in court on Friday after he allegedly stabbed his coworker at a Quincy Home Depot.

Jamal Boyd, 36, faces charges including assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, police said.

The 37-year-old Cambridge man who was stabbed was in critical condition on Thursday.

A 911 call about the incident at the Willard Street store was released by police Thursday afternoon.

“I have an associate bleeding to death at my store right now at Willard Street at Home Depot,” the caller tells the 911 dispatcher. “I need police and ambulance now.”

The suspect took off into some nearby woods after the stabbing, according to the Globe. He was called on his cell phone and agreed to return.
