Boston police are asking for the public’s help to identify the gunman responsible for a brazen daylight shootout in Roxbury Tuesday that was caught on video.[videoembed id=126943]
Police on Wednesday released video of the gunman firing the shots. The video shows two unidentified people appearing to talk to other people off camera. The pair looks as if they are about to leave when one pulls a gun from inside the pocket of a hooded-sweatshirt and fires multiple shots toward the person or people off camera. The two people the run away.
Police said officers from the gang unit were nearby and witnessed the shooting at Waverly and Warren streets just before 3 p.m. The officers were able to take three people in for questioning, but no charges have been filed. One man was shot in the hand and at least one officer fired his gun during the shootout.
The investigation is still ongoing, police said.
