After sending you to South Street Seaport last weekend, I decided to revisit some of my favorite barbecue joints in Harlem. Since few of us have grills in the city, I usually go out to get my barbecue fix. These venues will remind you of grilling in the ‘burbs, with less cleanup.

Harlem Bar-B-Q
2367 Frederick Douglass Blvd.

Plan on arriving hungry at Harlem Bar-B-Q. They specialize in wings, with an array of sauces. Definitely order the mango jerked wings ($10.95) and the buffalo chicken mac-n- cheese ($9.95). The fried chicken and waffles ($10.95) are perfectly crispy and satisfying. To wash down your meal, take advantage of $3 drafts, $5 wine and $8 frozen drinks from noon-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and noon-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Harley's Smokeshack & BBQ
355 E. 116th St.

Seven days a week from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. you'll find $3 beers, $5 wines and $6 margaritas at this deal-friendly restaurant. On Monday nights visit for 50-cent wings (10 per order) from 4 p.m. to midnight, or feast on $2.50 tacos (two per order) on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays pig out with the $12 burger and craft beer special. Brunch on weekends is $13.95 and includes two drinks.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que
700 W. 125th St.

Dinosaur has a huge bar and dining room, making it perfect for groups. If you're feeling adventurous, ride your bike to the end of the Riverside Park bike path to work off your meal in advance. Start with fried green tomatoes (three for $6.95) and a pulled pork slider ($3.95). On Fridays and Saturdays, enjoy live music from 10:30 p.m. with your dinner.  During the week, get $1 off beer, wine and well drinks from 3-7 p.m. The authentic St. Louis cut ribs are scrumptious. Go for the sweetheart deal of a dozen ribs and four sides for $31.50.
