After he was unable to vote for his dad in April’s primary because he was still a registered Democrat, Eric Trump committed another election faux pas.
In a since-deleted tweet, Trump took a picture of his ballot filled out in support of his father and Mike Pence and wrote, “It is an incredible honor to vote for my father! He will do such a great job for the U.S.A! #MakeAmericaGreatAgain”
Voters are not allowed to take photos inside polling stations, according to New York state law. It is also illegal in more than a dozen other states.
Such a crime in the Empire State could land Trump a $1,000 fine or a year in jail. However, the constitutionality of the law has been challenged.
