Going out in NYC is already expensive (stop the presses), but nothing feels quite as out of reach as the reason so many tourists come to the city.

Broadway shouldn’t just be for free-spending visitors. That’s where Broadway Week comes in — more accurately, weeks. From Sept. 7-20, many of Broadway’s biggest productions put blocks of tickets on sale at 2-for-1 prices. These tickets aren't always in the best spots, but they can be upgraded for $20 each for a better seat.

Alas, the Obama-approved “Hamilton” is not among your options, but “Hedwig and the Angry Inch” is, so get there before the Taye Diggs-starring musical closes on Sept. 13.

Ticket sales open today, and you’ll want to act fast: “The Lion King” is already sold out.
