A 21-year-old man who fell off his jet ski Thursday afternoon in Rariton Bay is safe after police staged a water rescue — and it was all caught on tape.

Police said they received a radio call of a person stranded in the water there, off the coast of Kingsburg, New Jersey, just before 5 p.m.

The department dispatched two helicopters in search of the distressed man, whom police said they found in minutes.

The helicopters hovered about ten feet above water, with two rescue divers jumping in to help the man. After an initial check, police later lowered a basket to the water and the victim was lifted to safety.

The man was transported to Staten Island University North Hospital for observation.
