A Hollis man was fatally stabbed in an assault that led him to seek help from a nearby pharmacy before dying from his injuries.
Around 12:20 p.m. on Monday, police arrived at 137-42 Guy R. Brewer Blvd. in Rochdale to find John Castro, 33, suffering from a stab wound to his chest, authorities reported.
RELATED: Queens building super stabbed to death in boiler room The stabbing victim had gone into a pharmacy after being assaulted to ask for help, police sources told the New York Daily News. Castro said he was stabbed, and he requested that a person inside the pharmacy call 911. Authorities took Castro to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police stated.
While on the scene, officials found a trail of blood leading to a vehicle registered to Castro, the New York Post reported.
