A Bronx man is under arrest after allegedly strangling and raping a 24-year-old woman in RIverside Park early Saturday morning.
Police said Anthony Camilo, 26, met the victim on a Brooklyn-bound F train, where he allegedly told the victim a friend could give her a ride to Brooklyn, but that they had to meet him inside of Riverside Park.
When the woman agreed and followed Camilo into the park, police said Camilo placed his hands around her neck, choked her and forced her to the ground, where he raped her.
The woman screamed for help, prompting the man to flee. Police were later to find Camilo based on her description, she said.
Camilo now faces two counts of felony sexually-motivated assault, rape and strangulation, police said.
His court information was not immediately available.
