Former New York Jets quarterback Mike Vick is meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers today, a league source tells Metro, and if all goes as expected, he will sign with the team this afternoon.
Vick, a four-time Pro Bowl selection and a former No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft, is expected in Pittsburgh today. The expectation, the league source said, is that Vick will sign a contract today that will make him a Steeler through the rest of the season. Last year with the Jets, Vick won the starting job midseason only to then be supplanted a couple games later byincumbent starter Geno Smith.
The source said that Vick had spoken with a half dozen different teams before selecting the Steelers. The Jets were one of those teams.
