Police are on the hunt for an attempted rapist who they say attacked a woman as she entered her Bushwick apartment earlier this month.

The victim, a 36-year-old woman, entered her apartment building located within the 83rd Precinct, which covers the Brooklyn neighborhood, just after 11 p.m. on Oct. 2 when she was followed by the suspect who started speaking with her, cops said.

As the woman was entering her home, the suspect followed the victim inside and attempted to rape her, police said. The suspect the fled on foot. 

Authorities have released video footage of the suspect, who they describe as a Hispanic male in his mid-20's, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 170 pounds with brown hair.
