Facebook Inc., the world’s biggest social-networking site, added features to its mobile software for Android devices, making it easier for users to share their locations and sort their friends by groups.
Users of Android phones, which rely on an operating system from Google Inc., will now be able to get the Places and Groups features on their Facebook software, Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg said yesterday in Palo Alto, Calif. Facebook also will let merchants offer deals via mobile devices to nearby shoppers.
