RED WHITE AND BLUSH: I was off to Seasons Bistro and Wine Bar last weekend to sample the best wines from around the world. Better still, the wines were paired with samples of rich chocolate. More than a warm-up to Valentine’s Day, the fourth annual Wine and Chocolate Tasting Event was a fundraiser for the Canadian Paraplegic Association.
Friday was A Different Stage of Mind, one of the most unique fundraisers of the year. Five of the top business executives in metro traded in the boardroom for the stage, cellphones for microphones and power suits for costumes to perform for the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia. The variety show format featured performances by “Garth Brooks,” “Cher” and “Neil Young”. I can’t wait to see what celebrities hit the stage next year!
