The race is on for Edmontonians to adopt cats and kittens during the Honda Indy Edmonton.
The Edmonton Humane Society’s goal with the INDY CAT 500 promotion is to adopt out 500 cats into loving homes within 16 days.
“It’s a very innovative project and we’re very confident that people will be champions and step up to the plate and help us get to the finish line,” said Shawna Randolph, an EHS spokesperson.
“We thought this would be quite timely, with it being Indy-month in Edmonton, to have this theme.” Anyone adopting a cat or kitten during the event will be able to “spin to win” 20 per cent, 40 per cent, 60 per cent, or 100 per cent off adoption fees.
