Metro is excited to announce its new partnership with Scoopshot, a global crowdsourcing photo and video service that gives the community more of an editorial voice.
With the power of your smartphone and the ease of Scoopshot, everyone can be a freelance photographer. When you join Scoopshot, you will join an entire community of casual and professional freelance photographers who use Scoopshot to distribute and make money from their photos.
“Metro is all about news you can use and what could be better than news you can use to make extra cash?” said Aleksander Korab, Editor-in-Chief of Metro. “Scoopshoot lets Metro have thousands of photographers. It will give us unique and exclusive content and allow us to get away from boring agency images.”
Members of the community will be able to be paid for the photos they take for Metro to use online or in print! In addition, Scoopshot also allows you to earn money from in-image ads. When Metro embeds an image that you have uploaded to Scoopshot on its website, an ad will appear at the bottom of the image. Every time someone looks at your photo you will be rewarded with a share of the advertising revenue generated!
