Juno Award-winning blues musician Jim Byrnes and Paralympic gold medallist Paul Gauthier are set to take part in Friday’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities event at the Roundhouse Community Centre.
Byrnes will perform while Gauthier will co-host the event, which is held every Dec. 3 to celebrate the achievements and rights of Vancouverites with disabilities.
The evening will including a craft fair, art exhibit, music and dance performances along with poetry readings and stand-up comedy. Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson will kick off the free event at 5:30 p.m. at 181 Roundhouse Mews.
