Apparently being a Washington outsider has at least one downside for Trump.

A report from the Wall Street Journal reveals that when the president-elect and current president met on Thursday and discussed the duties of the Oval Office, Trump “seemed surprised by the scope.”

Sources also told the publication that Trump’s aides were apparently unaware that they needed to replace the entire West Wing staff when Obama leaves office.

Following the meeting with Trump, Obama will spend more time with the president-elect to provide “more guidance,” the report said. This is apparently atypical.

Trump is the first person to be elected to the presidency without previous experience in the military or government.
