A photographer gave his wife a truly special birthday gift this year: a video commemorating their premature baby's first year of life.
The emotional 7-minute video by Benjamin Miller, which has been viewed more than 2 million times, shows the journey of their son, Ward Miles, living in neonatal intensive care for more than 100 days, finally coming home and growing into a strong 1-year-old boy.
"This is a story of a mother's love for her baby," Miller wrote in the video description.
Ward Miles was born July 20, 2012, three-and-a-half months premature and weighing less than a pound and a half. The video opens with Miller's wife holding their son for the first time, four days after he was born.
