Video of an apparent near miss between two aircraft at Barcelona’s El Prat International Airport has reportedly prompted an investigation by Spanish aviation officials.

The video, shot by Miguel Angel on Saturday and viewed more than 5 million times by Monday afternoon, shows a Boeing 767 from Russia’s UTair attempting to land on a runway as an Aerolineas Argentinas Airbus A340 taxis across the same runway directly in front of it.

Yesterday, early in the morning…What you see is what happened,” Angel wrote on his YouTube page. “An UTair Boeing 767-300 (VQ-BSX) incoming from Moscow as UT5187 and Aerolíneas Argentinas Airbus A340-300 (LV-FPV) were involved into what could be the bigger disaster of Barcelona Airport”

Angel described the Russian pilots’ last-minute reaction as they made their final approach as “an impressive and close go around.”

“Hopefully nothing happened,” he wrote.

No one was injured in the incident and the UTair plane was able to circle round and make a safe landing five minutes later, CNN reported.
