Mr. Spock wants to beam back to Vulcan.
Star Trek’s Mr. Spock, or the actor who plays him, Leonard Nimoy, told local media he is throwing his support behind the town of Vulcan — just 120 km southeast of Calgary — in its bid to première the new Star Trek film.
Paramount Pictures opted not to have the première of the high profile film in Vulcan, and Nimoy said he was saddened to hear the news.
The town of Vulcan has been campaigning over a year to host the première and even has a Facebook group full of support.
