A 67-year-old man is in custody on allegations that he stabbed a teenager on a SEPTA bus in Delaware County on Wednesday, PhillyVoice reported.
The incident happened around 3:00 p.m. Wednesday on Baltimore Pike near Church Road in Springfield while the bus was making a stop.
“The 67-year-old rushed from the back of the bus and stabbed an 18-year-old passenger twice in the neck as the teen was getting off the bus,” 6ABC reported.

The attacker was held by a Widener security guard until authorities arrived, and the teenage victim was taken to Delaware County Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say that the attack appears to have been random and that the two passengers do not know one another. The attacker also has a history of mental illness, PhillyVoice reported.
