DA: Philly cop intimidated brother’s ex

A former Philadelphia police officer was charged with witness intimidation for spying on his brother’s ex-wife.

The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office says Jermias Olivo, who resigned from the force in 2014, accessed police databases to obtain the address of his former sister-in-law.

At the time, his former sister-in-law had a protection from abuse order against Olivo’s brother Samuel Olivo. She later saw her ex-husband outside of her apartment, and her tires were slashed, the district attorney’s office said.

On another occasion, he asked fellow officers to look up the license plate number of a car that he said had cut him off. In actuality, the DA’s office says, the vehicle belonged to someone who had accompanied his former sister-in-law to court, where Samuel had argued with is ex-wife.
