The design for a memorial garden to the victims of the June 5, 2013 building collapse at 22nd and Market streets was approved by the Art Commission at a meeting on Wednesday.

“The commission gave final approval to the park and memorial design,” said a spokesman for the 22nd and Market Memorial.

The commission did ask for adjustments so more people can stand near the memorial at one time, they said.

The memorial fund has raised $600,000 of its $1.3 million goal.

Six people lost their lives and 14 were hurt in the collapse.
