Local schools were in lockdown Monday morning as police searched for a suspect, one of three, who was part of an attempted robbery at a South Philly corner store that left one dead.

An owner at Miss Jessie’s Stop N Shop at the corner of South 12th and Montrose streets shot and killed one of three men who attempted to hold up the store, NBC reported, adding that one other suspect was apprehended but one remained at large.
