The Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced Sunday that three more churches will soon be de-consecrated.
Holy Saviour in Delaware County, Incarnation of Our Lord in Olney section and Our Mother of Sorrows in Montgomery County have all been closed since merging with nearby parishes.
Our Mother of Sorrows merged with another parish in 2001. Holy Savior and Incarnation of Our Lord merged with other churches in July 2013.
The churches will now be relegated to "profane but not sordid uses" according to the Archdiocese. The fate of the churches will be determined by the parishes with which they have merged.
