Philadelphia police are looking for a man who they say tried to rob a Dunkin’ Donuts at gunpoint, but was ultimately scared away by a young girl who began screaming.

No one was injured in the attempted robbery, which reportedly occurred at the Dunkin’ Donuts at 6201 N. Front St., Philly.com reported.

Police told the website that the man walked into the location just after 4:15 p.m., pulled out a handgun and demanded money while pointing it at an employee.

But a young girl, seemingly spooked by what she saw unfolding, started backing away from the suspect and screaming, according to police and video of the incident. After some apparent hesitation, the man left the store.

Police said it wasn’t clear in which direction he ran.

The suspect was described as a black man, 5 feet 8 inches tall with a stocky build who was wearing a black shirt, blue ripped jean shorts and black sneakers.

Police encourage anyone who recognizes the man or has any other information about the attempted robbery to contact 215-686-8477 (TIPS) or send a text message to 773847 (PPDTIP).
